Mark Rosenberg, MD, MPP
Dr. Mark Rosenberg, Director of the Global Road Safety Forum, serves as Executive Director of the Task Force for Child Survival and Development, a non-profit public health organization working to build coalitions to promote global health and human development. Prior to leading the Task Force, Dr. Rosenberg served 20 years with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where he worked on smallpox eradication, diarrheal diseases, AIDS, and violence and unintentional injury prevention. He was instrumental in establishing the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control at the CDC and became the Center’s first Director and Assistant Surgeon General in 1994; Dr. Rosenberg served in this capacity until 1999. Dr. Rosenberg has been on the Board of Delegates and Board of Directors for the National Safety Council and is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Injury Control and Safety Promotion. Dr. Rosenberg is the U.S. representative on the Commission on Global Road Safety.
Lisa Hayes, MBA
Lisa Hayes is the Associate Program Director for two programs at The Task Force for Child Survival and Development: the Global Road Safety Forum, and Coalitions and Collaboration in Global Health. She is the project manager for both programs and brings years of experience in both financial and program management. Building on a background in business and marketing, Ms. Hayes joined the staff of The Task Force for Child Survival and Development in 2004 to work to improve collaborative efforts in global health. She is co-author of an upcoming book documenting lessons learned in global health partnerships. Ms. Hayes has consulted with and provided technical expertise to the World Health Organization, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on collaboration and leadership issues in global health. Ms. Hayes holds an MBA from Emory University's Goizueta Business School and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
Samantha Kluglein
Samantha Kluglein, Senior Program Associate, joined the Global Road Safety Forum in 2007. Prior to joining the Forum, Ms. Kluglein worked in transport in both academia and the private sector. Samantha holds a BBA in Finance with a concentration in Economics.
Martha Warren Bidez, PhD
Dr. Bidez, Visiting Senior Scientist at the Global Road Safety Forum, is President/CEO of Bidez and Associates, Inc., a private, biomedical engineering consulting company. She received her Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Auburn University and her second bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a masters and Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She became a tenured faculty professor at the University of Alabama (UAB) School of Engineering. In 1990, while still on the UAB faculty, she founded Bidez and Associates, Inc. to provide expert engineering and scientific consulting services to the medical, dental and legal fields. Her professional interests currently focus on injury prevention within the automotive crash environment and safety for vulnerable populations, including children, women and the elderly. She has been involved in many community organizations, including founding member of the Board of Directors of PATH, Director of the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation, Vice President of the Board of Directors for VOICES, the sole Public Member on the prestigious Executive Council of the Commission on Colleges. She serves on the Board of Directors of the international Kellogg Fellows Leadership Alliance (KFLA).
Rebecca Ross
Ms. Ross, Executive Administrative Assistant to Dr. Rosenberg, joined the Global Road Safety Forum in 2007. Ms. Ross’ background includes work with the National Academy of Sciences, the Federal Aviation Administration, DeKalb County government, and the DeKalb Medical Center. Her professional experience includes executive support to senior management, advisory boards, research teams and elected officials. Ms. Ross also supports Dr. Rosenberg in his role as Executive Director of the Task Force for Child Survival & Development.
